
KPK Communications is led by Kevin P. Kane, MS, APR, Fellow PRSA. He has held a variety of public relations, media relations, and fundraising positions, including progressive internal/external/crisis communications duties in nonprofit hospital and health insurance settings. Kane has been in numerous crisis and reputational response situations, and has also been part of many award-winning communications programs.
For most of his career, Kane has played an active role in PRSA with leadership positions at the local, district and national levels. He’s volunteered as APR Co-Chair for the Rochester Chapter and currently assists with similar efforts for the PRSA Northeast District, and also spent four years on the Universal Accreditation Board (UAB) governing/promoting the accreditation.
He’s continued related work on the PRSA APR Marketing Communications committee, including serving as co-chair (2023 & 2024). He’s been the professional adviser of the St. John Fisher University PRSSA Chapter since 2009. Kane was selected to the PRSA College of Fellows (2024), affirming his significant impact on the public relations and communications profession with demonstrated superior performance in the practice/teaching of public relations, contribution to the profession and community through service and leadership. As an event planner, he’s led and/or served on 13 PRSA Northeast District full day conference planning committees.
In his free time, Kevin and his wife often spend time lake side in Central New York, or at Syracuse University football and basketball games hoping for a celebratory outcome. He also lives out his acoustic rock-star dreams as part of The Puckdaddys in local brewpubs.
